New Ho Ho buses


The BEST has last week launched the unique concept of Hop On, Hop Off (Ho-Ho) buses as a part of major revival of citywide tourist circuit buses. The event was held at Worli depot.

The buses are similar to the tourist buses in London and other major cities. The HoHo bus will start from Gateway of India and end at Juhu Chowpatty, taking in several sights along the way. There are a total of 11 halts in the route and a total of 19 sightseeing points. So far, the list of famous tourist spots in Mumbai includes, CSMT, Byculla Zoo / Bhau Daji Lad Museum, Siddhivinayak Temple, Band Stand Bandra, Juhu Garden, Juhu Chowpatty, Bandra Worli Sea link, Nehru Science Centre/ Nehru Planetarium, Mani Bhavan, Hanging Garden, Aquarium, Wankhede stadium, Nariman Point and Mantralaya.

“The buses will have a frequency of 30 minutes and they will be available from 9 am to 8 pm. The daily bus pass will cost you Rs 250,” a BEST spokesperson said.

The unique concept of Ho Ho bus allow tourists to visit sites of their own choice and rejoin the tour on subsequent buses on the route on the same ticket of the day. Also at a later date, the tickets for all tourist buses will be available on popular book my show app and choose and book seats online. The bus will have halting points where one can spend time and also and drive through points.
